Sunrise over Mohegan Sun Casino. Taken on my iPhone.

My cat, Mao, resting in a sunbeam while enjoying her perch of an unused air-conditioner. A perfectly serene moment I only wish I could achieve.

Red in a sea of green

a Volunteer at the sawmill I visit.

A nap in a sunbeam.

This was taken a Guam Liberation Day celebration about a year back. I brought my camera but had a lot of fun in the process.

Intense concentration on a nacho.

This is a neighborhood dog, and one of a small handful that doesn’t like me very much. She seemed very happy in the snow the other day.

A color version of the salt and pepper shakers.

An old friend

This is one of my new buddies Rafi

fluff in his sunbeam

Cameras and vintage, can’t go wrong.

I was bored one morning and a power outage caused me to wander with my camera.

Some hatchets and tools that are hanging around a mill.

A relaxing image of my cat (Mao) relaxing in a sunbeam.

My cat Rafi posing just outside of a sunbeam

I was playing around with my phone and my parents pup the other day and found the result warm and comforting, just like the pup himself.

I found this wonderful old typewriter and thought it would make a wonderful subject for my new macro lens

An old camera

This was taken the other night while on my nightly walk. I found this beautiful bike and had to photograph it.

My first antique camera that I bought still has a lot if interesting nooks and crannies

An antique globe.

My parents dog is upset right now. They are sick and can’t be with him at the moment.

I have found antiques to be a fascinating subject.

An old tchotchke I have owned for a long time (a lifetime love of a particular Sci Fi series (one of two that has had an impact on my life, they other a sexy year old British series that is also running strong).

A dramatic moment in the morning and a chess board.

I found the light on the day fascinating (how it crept across my walls that afternoon). The way it caught this statuette just spoke to me.

I had some fun with other cameras from my collection, and I thought to try some more. I still use this camera (it is one of the few I can get the film). This Polaroid offered some nice lines and added to the tone to help make what I hope would be something a little more narrative than a still life.

a fun photo of a lamp stem.

My cats sharing a sunbeam.

The other morning the light coming through the windows was fascinating.

My landlord recently rebuilt my roof. I found this moment of a bit of my old roof next to a tree in the front yard intriguing.

a black and white version of a barn for retired race horses..

I have found these wonderful salt and pepper shakers, I forget where. But they have been a fascinating subject to me.

Another new member of my family.

My cat Rafi napping on is security blanket.

While on my wanderings I found a neat little motorcycle and had to shot its engine.

I found the seeds of this SDandy Lion REminding me of an old folk song, titled “Where Have All the Flowers Gone.”

This was a test of an editing technique. I saw this and thought of the old Douglas Adams book “The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy,” in that this seems like a deep and introspective shot. When in fact, the photo was taken as a way to test noise reduction techniques.

An antique nightlight.

This is an old photo from a few years ago at a Guam Liberation Day celebration I attended.

A cheesy lite cottage tchotchke. I intentionally chose to have a tight depth of field. I wanted a dreamy unreal feel for this little knickknack.

The other night I was playing with my camera and a water fountain I have for white noise. I found the warm lights from the golden LEDs fascinating, and reminded me of some industrial center, in plastic miniature.

An antique salt shaker

More of my sequestered photographs. I thought I would do a little tongue and Check play on the works of Vincent Van Gogh.

I have always been fascinated by how nature works around human actions.

A shot of what I found to be beautifully weathered daisies.

A lone Rose in a green garden.

While driving to work one night recently, I pasted the local High School’s football field light up in the fog. I found it to be breathtaking and introspective at the same time.

the workings of the water powered mill.

This is an older photo I reworked recently.

A another shot from the Gurdon Bill’s Store. A restored carriage house from way back in the day.

An interesting windup toy I own.

When I took this, it reminded me of another well used living museum I attended. That one was titled Lost Shaker.

An antique camera showing the world in it’s eye.

some more photos of a wonderful Polaroid camera.

A fun play on the Analogue/Digitally divide.

I recently got my hands on an old 8mm projector.

the inner working of the sawmill.

A fun windup toy that sparks.

An old underwood typewriter.

The first antique camera I ever bought. It was at a yard sale in Columbus Ohio. These days old cameras are virtually worthless money-wise. but I have a fascination with the design and engineering of these classic items.

some more of the old typewriter

Spring is creeping in during these COVID times.

a pawn from a chess set.

These are pieces of my Hnefatafl Set. I am new to the game (nicknamed Viking Chess) is something I found to be fascinating

The other day it snowed (well it snowed for a few days) and I took my camera out around the block to see what I could get. The snow was big, fluffy, and coming down hard, great for photography (less so for cameras, I had to wipe down the camera extra hard after getting home). this was one of my earlier shots.

One of my cats in his sunbeam.

While strolling through a local park the other evening, I found the lonely swing set in a shady corner. I found myself in an existential quandary over this place of joy unused and seemingly abandoned.

My “little Guy” happily lying beside me

This is my buddy Riley.

A true moment of love.

Found this guy outside the other day.

Some semi unintentional shutter speeds while experimenting with a bird feeder.

I keep trying to get decent photos of Hummingbirds, I am getting there.

Another hummingbird photo for 2023

Taking some time to shoot some hummingbird photos.

I had an opportunity to take some abstract shots, I found this ceiling molding to be perfect.

I recently purchased a macro lens and thought I would test it with the utility knife that opened the box.

some plastic flowers that give the illusion of life.

A winters day

Afternoon sun while making dinner

A Navajo horsehair pottery vase I have had for many years. The sun and blinds were just right for this shot…

I found these paints a while back and wanted to do something with them. The old tubes fascinated and captivated me, and just like the paints in the tubes have probably turned and gone stale, so were my various forms of art at the time.

A cute fluff ball looking longingly for my breakfast.

A wonderful moment in time. While sitting in a chair on Easter Day.

I am Not sure about this one. I think it is an Eastern Bluebird but I am not !00% sure. I think he is a little too slim compared to the ones I have seen in the past.

A iPhone shot when I didn’t have time to set up my big camera.

An older image I re-edited recently.

My rescue cat Fluffenutter.

Macro shot from within a hamper.

My pup while I was taking a photo of a wall.

My cat in a peaceful moment.

This is my mom’s dog. She was in the hospital for a while and her poor pup had give up hope of seeing her again.

A carved rock on my desk.

After a devistating year, my brother tried to cheer up my mom with a tradition from her childhood. A Christmas train scene.

Some more shots of the old general store living museum I visited.

In recent months I have found myself being awake at night. and I thought I would do a little Night Photography.

A passing turkey vulture.

Early in the morning birds gathered at a feeder.
